Computer Use
  • Refers to the variety and complexity of computer use and other electronic equipment within the employees’ position.

 

Computer Use is an Essential Skill that all Casino employees need to:

  • Enter data into various gaming computerized tracking systems and databases.
  • Use email to communicate with others.
  • Use document and spreadsheet software to prepare, edit, manipulate and analyze gaming information.
  • Manage department electronic files.
  • Use a variety of electronic devices and resolve basic technical difficulties.

 

Specific Applications in Gaming

  • Countroom Cashiers scan bar codes and place bills in counting machine to feed information into the computer program.
  • Casino Hosts access a database program to review player’s club card use.
  • Casino Bartenders use the computerized system for all transactions.
  • Maintenance Technicians use the computerized system that tracks and controls the air conditioning system so they are all able to do routine monitoring.
  • Retail Cashiers scan or punch in entries to the computerized accounting system for the casino store.
  • Surveillance Technicians use specific surveillance programs to report daily activities within the Casino.
